Dial a Ride Transportation (D.A.R.T.) is provided by the Belle Urban System, and is further explained in the attached brochure entitled "City of Racine Specialized Transportation." This service is offered in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. DART is for individuals with physical, cognitive, emotional, visual or other disabilities which functionally prevent them from using the fixed route bus system. The disability may be permanent or seasonal.
Eligibility criteria may be found in the attached brochure entitled "ADA Paratransit Eligibility Criteria."
Hours and days of service are identical to the Belle Urban System, fixed route service. DART is provided door-to-door, within 3/4 of a mile of the fixed route bus system.
To register for DART, you must first complete an application, and physician certification form, which can be mailed by calling 1-262-619-2438.
If you live outside the Belle Urban System service area and think that you qualify for specialized transportation, please visit the Racine County Human Services website www.hsd.racineco.com and go to the section titled "Adults" then "Specialized Transportation."
